Our Journey Begins On March 8, 2022, the Dhanusha,Mithila branch of Reiyukai Eiko Masunaga Eye Hospital embarked on a heartfelt mission to serve our local community. This momentous occasion was marked by the successful completion of 358 free cataract surgeries, conducted on March 9th, 10th, and 11th. The presence of Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut at our inauguration added immense significance to this event. While our services have already begun, we eagerly anticipate our official “Grand Opening” ceremony, slated for September, thanks to the generous support of Dooley Intermed during the construction phase.

Our dedication to improving eye health intervention in the Dhanusa district goes beyond the walls of our center and the reach of our community eye camps. We are equally committed to raising awareness about eye health among individuals from diverse backgrounds.
A Momentous Celebration
On September 24th, Reiyukai Eiko Masunaga Eye Hospital Mithila, Dhalkebar, celebrated a historic moment with the formal grand opening of the Reiyukai Eiko Masunaga Eye Hospital(Bogoni Vision Center). This grand event was graced by the presence of dignitaries from both within and outside the country, including Mr. Scott Hamilton, President of Dooley Intermed International, and Dr. Indira Kairam, as well as municipal Mayors from Banepa and Mithila, among other distinguished guests.
The event also served as a joyous commemoration of ‘500 Free Cataract Surgeries’ conducted throughout the month of September 2022. As a symbol of our enduring partnership with Dooley Intermed, an e-rickshaw was generously donated to our eye hospital. This thoughtful gesture has proven instrumental in realizing our vision, ensuring free transportation for local residents to and from the eye hospital on all working days, and ultimately making accessible eye care a reality for all.
